Our beginning as an organization began with the need for Solar Contractors to be unified on a LOCAL legislative and regulatory level while collaborating and partnering with other solar associations at the State and Federal levels.

It is the mission of the Association of Solar Contractors “to represent the interests of solar contractors and the solar industry while providing opportunities for its members to grow and prosper as quality businesses.”

To complement our Mission, the ASC has established a vision our association is working towards today and in the future. This is a vivid idealized description of our desired outcome that inspires, energizes and helps motivate our Board, Staff and members.

“It is the vision of the Association of Solar Contractors to be the catalyst for the installation of Solar Electric (Photovoltaic) and/or Solar Thermal systems in every appropriate location in the State of Florida through effective public policy, education and member resources with quality and professionalism for the public’s interest.”

The ASC is developing a short and long range Strategic Plan which identifies the critical goals and achievements necessary for the organization to accomplish its mission.  This includes areas such as member benefits including discount programs for purchases and services along with key focus areas such as:

• Membership Growth
• Secure additional funding to the Florida Rebate Program
• Work with FARE and FLASEIA on a Feed in Tariff program or similar policy for the State of Florida
• Become the local resource on Solar Energy for public officials
• Provide Solar Energy Education within our communities
